Paula Patton was born in Los Angeles, California to a middle class family. Her childhood was filled with dreams of great heights. Her parents were a loving mother, who was a fan of films. Paula was a part of co-curricular school events, and she particularly enjoyed drama. She played with her classmates and was a part of the school's plays. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School gave her many chances to perform during her high school years and she picked acting as a career. She went to an acting program at the University of Southern California for the Summer Program, and she loved it. She won an assignment for PBS to produce documentaries over the course of three months. After she had completed her three-month task successfully, her first job was in the field of production for television documentaries. Later, she was able to produce documentaries. Although she enjoyed her career, she still dreamed of becoming an actress. The romantic comedies Hitch she played a small part with Will Smith. Since then, she has played in numerous popular films and TV shows.
